Title of Article: 10 Reasons why YouTube is better than Google Video

Review of Article

Based on the article, YouTube was constructed with a community in mind. It’s mean that interface tools used is follow the human interest such as tagging, rating system, comment, friends, favorites and so on. However on Google Video side it’s only letting the community of user connect. Besides that YouTube user interface is vastly better and easy to use and also more attractive. Compared with Google Video, it user interface is so Spartan and unattractive as it’s too simplicity.

In term of viral function YouTube have the function such as “Share This Video” and “Tell a Friend”. The functions are automatically added at the end of each video, making each video simple to share. The brilliant seed of YouTube's model includes code for each user to play YouTube's videos directly from their own blog or website. However for Google Video’s viral functions are found in the user panel under somewhat obtuse links called "put on site" and "send link".

The most important part to evaluate is in part of load and store. The article states that YouTube videos always load and play faster than Google videos. The author also had tested it using two different computers in multiple locations. But in the comment part that include in the website’s article, some of the other user said that Google Video much faster than YouTube right now.

YouTube displays the number of times each video has been played. That's a data point of pride for uploaders and this is one of it advantages. But Google Video most likely compiles the data but does not display it. Data transparency is helpful for both content creators and viewers. Besides, the author state that YouTube's user account system is more robust and it's also easier to use and filled with more data than Google's.

In term of search functionality YouTube is vastly better than Google's. It's a surprising outcome from the world's search leader. YouTube can sort search returns by date added, title, view count and rating. YouTube also can displays three random images from each video for search returns. That makes it considerably easier for users to find specific video files from large batches of results. However, Google Video's search sort is by date and title. Google Video just displays the first frame of each video file for search return.

The other advantage of YouTube is it displays trackbacks to each video. But, Google Video does not. YouTube's functionality there makes it easier to discover who the more influential virus-spreaders are. YouTube also helps users to find the obvious or related videos. It's a great tool for users trying to build video evidence related to a subject.

In the author opinion, Google does stomp YouTube in two important areas such as downloadable videos and seller accounts. For those who create multimedia presentations, a downloadable video is a big differentiator. For content creators who see online video distribution as a major new sales channel, Google Video makes it pretty easy to disintermediate a realm of resellers.

Conclusion

Based on the article, author is more like to find the advantages of YouTube video than the Google Video. I also agree with the author on some point such a comment from the other user inside the article that said Google video cannot be access in the India, Germany and China because of the country restriction. So that it’s not really convenient like YouTube that can be access in each country because YouTube don’t use digital restriction management.

For the most part I agree. But I think another important feature that Google Video has over YouTube is better fast-forwarding. YouTube also have a bad impression such it video quality is dire because it compressed a ridiculous amount. YouTube video also does not allow playing from the middle of the clips. If the user wishes to skip ahead to another part of the video, they must wait for that part to be cached. On Google Video, user only can drag the slider to where they want to pick up watching and Google will begin caching from that location. YouTube also does not allow user to set videos to private mode. Once user embedded to the private or family side, it gets shared with the entire world.

But there is result posted by the other user that ranks video-based websites. It’s showed that MSN is a popular than Google video and Youtube.
